The Weekend

Adler is becoming more and more alert. She likes to watch the mobile on her swing now.

Yesterday we took Owen to a birthday party. He and Kameron had a blast chasing the bubbles!
My friend Enid and her boys came over this morning to meet Adler for the first time. Adler and Theo are about 7 weeks apart in age.

Fall is here! Look at our gorgeous yellow tree.

Adler's First Bath

Here are some pictures of Adler's first real bath! When I first put her in the water she made a face like she was going to cry, but then she stopped and was content the entire bath! Maybe she'll be a swimmer one day!

All clean!!

More Visitors

Kelly's dad, step-mom Mary and sister Madison have been visiting from Texas for the past few days. We definitely enjoyed all the help and Owen loved the extra attention. We managed to get out and do a few things while they were here. Yesterday we had fun in Tahoe.
Here's Adler's first trip to Lake Tahoe! She is such a good little traveler.
We're standing on the roots of a giant tree here.
Micah's nature art.
Madison and Me

We went to Taylor Creek and saw the salmon spawning. We come here every October but this year there were a TON of salmon......much more then we've seen before.

Mmmmmmm.......Burger Lounge!

We've been painting Adler's room to make it a little more girly. Notice, I even painted some of the dots PINK! If you know me well, you are probably shocked! I'll post more pictures of her room when everything is completed.

I took Adler to a party on Saturday and she had her first hot dog....kidding.

My Car Lover

Owen loves cars.....yes, my two year old already knows the difference between a jeep and a hummer and will proudly announce it when we see one while driving. He is his father's son.
Owen has a TON of hot wheels. This is our fault because we started giving him one hot wheel every time he went poop in the potty. This turned out to be a great incentive, but now he has an obscene amount of cars.
He even has a tractor collection
And as you can see, Owen loves to organize his cars. He is very orderly. Here they are organized by color.

Here's my beautiful baby girl.

Just hangin' out

There's not much going on around here.....just getting used to life with a newborn and a toddler. Owen is still doing really well with Adler. Here he is acting like a horse and wanted Adler to ride him. She didn't think it was very much fun.

Adler is enjoying a little hammock time with her daddy.

This is Owen's new favorite expression.....he makes his surprised face all the time.

Owen thought it was pretty funny when we put Adler in his bed with him. He wanted her to sleep with him all night.

Like Brother, Like Sister?

Owen...................................Adler

We definitely see a family resemblance. Although Adler has much more feminine features. Her hands and feet are much smaller than Owen's were when he was infant. But she's a bit chunkier than Owen was.

Here we go.....

All our family is back in Texas and today is Micah's first day back to work since Adler was born. It's amazing how quickly life must get back to 'normal' after giving birth. But we're doing good today, just hanging out and taking it easy. We certainly miss all the help our parents provided us while they were here.

Mimi and Adler

Micah's parents were here for a week and just left this past weekend. They were so much help with both Owen and Adler during their stay!

Yes, I'm sleeping with both my kiddos here.....I love to wake up with them next to me in the morning!

Owen is going to hate us one day for taking this photo, but seriously.....this is hilarious!

Olfa and Mimi with their grand kids.
Here is Adler's first baby friend, Max. Max was born 5 days before Adler and came over for a visit this past weekend. He is such a cutie! And yes, I realize my baby girl looks like a giant. But to be fair, Max was born 3 weeks early and Adler 2 weeks late.
