Micah's parents are here visiting us this week. I think Owen is enjoying the extra attention. Last night they even kept Owen while we went to a movie.....this was only the second time we've left Owen to go out on a date and the entire time we felt like we were missing something!

Jack's Birthday Party

On Saturday we went to Jack's second birthday party. It seems like yesterday I was throwing Kristin a baby shower, so it's just so hard to believe that Jack is already two! There were tons of kids at the party and Owen was right in the middle of them, with all of the "big" kids. Owen especially liked Jack's new fire engine!

Around the House

Owen is pulling himself up into the standing position every chance he gets! He is into EVERYTHING!!!!

Despite the look on his face, he actually likes the taste of lemon.

Micah just got home from work and Owen crawled all the way across the house, through our bedroom, and into the bathroom (in record time) to find his daddy. When he found him he pulled himself up on Micah's legs and begged to be picked up. SO CUTE!!!

Owen's hair has really been growing in lately. And we like to see just how spiky we can get it after a bath!

Owen & Natalie

We are so happy our friends Kim, Corey and their daughter Natalie are visiting Tahoe. They used to live here and a few years ago moved to Asheville, North Carolina. Natalie is about 2 months younger than Owen, and this is the first time we've met her. Owen thought she was a cutie (and we agree)!!!

7 Months Old!!!

Today Owen is 7 months old!!! And he sure loves Sandy. We are really proud of Sandy because she lets Owen tug and pull on her, and even crawl over her. They are big buddies!

Owen loves to skateboard!

Owen is already showing interest in learning to skateboard! He's ready for Sandy to pull him around the neighborhood. This makes Micah very happy.

Happy Independence Day!

We had a nice, laid back July 4th. It was really hot here (over 100 degrees), so we stayed inside most of the day relaxing. Then last night we went to our friend Gladys' house for a BBQ and fireworks. There was a toddler at the BBQ that was really cute with Owen. We brought our bubble machine and the boys enjoyed that.....although Owen was already pretty tired by that point.

New Smile

This is Owen's new smile. It's something new he's been doing lately. It almost looks like he's posing for a picture. Also he loves pears, and HATES mangos!!! We tried mangos 2 nights in a row and the second night he was completely insulted that we tried to feed them to him again. He screamed to make his point. But we tried pears tonight and they went down easy.

(For those of you reading this that aren't parents, introducing solid foods to a baby is interesting.....all of a sudden your baby has opinions about what he likes and dislikes. It's really the beginning of his personality coming out. It's very fun!)

Beach Day at Lake Tahoe

Yesterday we spent the afternoon on the beach! It was a gorgeous day and we had been craving some beach time. We parked on the side of the road and then hiked down to the water. Owen played in the sand and then tried to eat it, which didn't go over too well. The water is still really chilly, so Owen didn't get to play in the water (except to clean his hands).
