Pumpkins!

Check out our family of pumpkins we grew in our garden this year. It was finally time to cut them and carve them for Halloween......

Owen wanted a choo-choo train carved in the pumpkin, so Micah did his best and it turned out pretty good!

Then we decorated the other pumpkins with funny faces. Owen had fun with this.

S Hill

Owen climbed all the way to "S" Hill a few days ago with his dad and the dogs. This is a pretty steep hike for a 2 year old! Apparently they ran all the way down and Owen giggled hysterically the entire time.

Harvest Festival

This was our second year to attend the Harvest Festival at Corley Ranch in Gardnerville, and we had such a great time! We met some friends there, so Owen ran around with his buddies Ryder and Orrin. Owen was a little afraid of the goats and sheep in the petting zoo, but he warmed up eventually.

Here are the boys riding a mini choo-choo train!

Adler loves to be carried in her wrap!

Here they are getting ready for the pig races!
A pig named Pumpkin won the race!

The boys found an alien in the corn maze.

Searching for the perfect pumpkin.....

Owen rode Gizmo the pony.

After spending most of the day at the festival, Owen was pooped! And so were we.....after chasing 3 boys around all afternoon, with an infant in tow.

Adler & the Boys

Adler is doing great! She's growing fast....already 10 pounds, 15 ounces.....and she's starting to interact with us more and more. We're even getting a few smiles here and there.

I had quite a few pregnant friends while I was pregnant and everyone has had BOYS! Adler is going to be surrounded by boys as she grows up. First, there was Theo and Max, who have already made appearances on our blog. And her most recent baby friends are Richard and Jimmy. One of my friends is still pregnant, with a boy of course!
Adler & Richard were born one month apart.

Owen and Jessica are so proud of their babies!

Here are Adler and Jimmy, who were born 2 weeks apart.
Owen and Sofia have been friends since they were born too, as they are only 3 weeks apart in age. They also go to school together. We are lucky to have so many friends with kids the same age as Owen and Adler!

My mom has been busy embroidering Adler's name on anything she can find. Here she is in an adorable pair of personalized pants! Thanks Mom!

I'm pretty sure those blue eyes are here to stay.

I Heart Autumn

One thing I love about living in Nevada is autumn! I never look forward to fall approaching because it means winter is very near, but then I have days like this......
Here we are - my kids and me (and Kirby) - enjoying a nice, leisurely walk at the Carson river trail.

Owen Update

Owen is such a good BIG BROTHER!!! He is constantly checking on Adler and wanting to hold her and kiss her, and hasn't acted jealous of her at all (yet). We've been trying to get him back on some sort of schedule, so he's going to school 3 days a week and stays home with Adler and me 2 days a week. He seems to enjoy his school and is really learning so much. Recently some firemen came to his school to talk about fire safety. Owen enjoyed walking through the fire truck.

He even got to spray the fire hose!
Owen has made it a hobby lately to wash dishes and play in the sinks. This can occupy him for quite a while.

Flume Trail

Micah's good friend and old college roommate, Jeremy, has been here for a few days visiting. On Sunday Micah took him to Tahoe to ride the Flume Trail.....such a gorgeous ride! Jeremy has two kids himself and was really good at entertaining Owen. What is Owen going to do now that all our company is gone????
