Micah was in the city of Portland last week for work to learn about art and the environment. Apparently Portland is a very cool city. It has a very friendly community, it is very environmentally friendly, and there had to of been some sort of water fountain/feature on every corner. The pictures below are of a fountain designed by Lawrence Halprin who has done some amazing work. With all the laws of today something like this could never be built. If you click on the Portland title it will take you to a little article on Portland and Lawrence Halprin. Anyways it was a pretty cool city.
Kelly has been in Denver all of this week and she is finally home. I sure missed her and man is her belly big. I think that we are having twins! She was in Denver for a women's health conference which I think that she enjoyed.

Our Weekend
We've had a productive weekend cleaning, organizing and getting things ready for the baby. We picked out paint for the baby's room and Micah is going to start painting this afternoon. We did manage to take a cool hike last night and saw an awesome sunset. Here's some pics. Micah has also been taking lots of pictures of my growing belly.

Feeling the Baby
Before Tuesday I was feeling baby "flutters" every now and then, but nothing strong or consistent. Then on Tuesday I was getting a massage and really started to feel something different. The baby must like massages because he/she was pushing or kicking me the entire hour! Then yesterday after work I felt the same thing again. Micah was even able to feel the baby by putting his hand on my belly! We are pretty excited to finally be feeling some strong movements!

10 Year High School Reunion
We can hardly believe we have been out of high school for 10 years, but it's true......we attended our reunion in College Station last weekend. It turned out to be a lot of fun to see old friends and catch up with people. I finally got to meet Veronica's new baby girl, Emma. Micah even got some practice holding her! We also got to spend time with our family, which is always nice.

First Baby Pictures
We had our sonogram today and here are the baby's first pictures. The baby was very active and moving around a bunch while the sonogram was going on. Baby Langdon even waved to us! The baby is now the size of a large banana (or about 6-7 inches from head to bum). We also have a video that we will bring home when we come in a few weeks. Kelly is currently in her 19th week of pregnancy (almost half way) and the baby is still due December 5th.

Baby Stuff
While Kelly's Mom was here, we really got started on baby stuff. She bought us our baby crib, which we should have in a week or two. We also chose material for the baby quilt and bumper pads and Mom got right to work. In about 3 days she had them almost finished! Here are some pictures of the quilt and bumper pads in progress. We are not going to find out the sex of the baby, so we think these colors will work for either a boy or girl. Thanks Mom!!

Kelly's Mom Visited Us
Kelly's mom came out to visit and was here for a week. We took her hiking at Tahoe, took a day trip to Yosemite National Park, and went to the Reno Rodeo. It was a busy week but we had a great time. Thanks for coming to visit Mom!!

Langdon Visit
Micah's parents and one of his brothers are here visiting. Micah took Matt mountain bike riding on the Flume Trail....Sandy even ran with them for the entire 15 miles or so. She loved it! Today we took everyone to the beach, where we relaxed in the sun, cooked burgers, and let the dogs swim. Micah and Matt also tried out the chilly water.

Our House Got a Facelift!
Micah has been working relentlessly on re-landscaping our front yard for the past several weeks. He did everything by hand.....ripped up grass (this was a huge hurdle), took it to the dump, re-worked the irrigation system, tilled the soil, planted the plants, and finally mulched. I think it looks great now, but it's going to look even better in a few months after the plants have grown some. Check out the results (before, during, and after).
