Last week I had to spend 4 days in San Francisco for a training. My trip was going to take 5 days total and I just wasn't ready to be away from Adler for that long. After all, the longest we've ever been apart has been about 20 hours. So, I decided to find someone to come with me to hang with the kids in the city during the day (Micah couldn't take off work for an entire week). GRANDMA TO THE RESCUE!!!!
My mom jumped on the opportunity to spend a week with her grandkids in San Francisco, so she flew to Reno the weekend before my training and the adventure began!

Here are the kids playing at a park in Davis, CA on our drive to the city. |

 |
Riding the cable car back to Union Square |
Day 3
 |
Koret Children's Quarter, Golden Gate Park |
 |
At the California Academy of Sciences.....they also saw a rainforest, penguin habitat, and other fun exhibits at this museum. |
Day 4
 |
They spent several hours at the Children's Creativity Museum on our final day in the city. |
I'm really not sure how my mom managed to do everything she did with the kids in four short days.....nor how she managed to do all of this by herself with two kids under five years old! I'm totally impressed and completely grateful. I'm also a bit jealous that I wasn't able to join them at any of these cool places.
Thank you so much, Mom, for taking a week off work to babysit for me in San Francisco. The kids had a blast and have been asking for you every day since you left!
