Me Three Now!

Yesterday was Owen's THIRD birthday! WOW! I still can't believe he is three already! He certainly rocked our world three years ago and continues to provide us with much entertainment and laughter. We celebrated his birthday in a big way yesterday with a party with about 14 other 3-4 year olds! It was pretty crazy, but the kids had a blast. It seemed like Owen was opening gifts all day long.....he received loads of gifts in the mail from friends and grandparents, plus all the gifts from the party, then more gifts from us. Seriously.....where in the world am I supposed to store all these toys???? But thank you to everyone who thought of Owen this weekend. He is surrounded by so much love.

Here Comes Grandma!

My mom came into town for a long weekend to help Owen celebrate his third birthday. Both Owen and Adler loved the extra Grandma attention (and so did mom and dad)!

Here they are baking Owen's birthday cake.

Adler playing in Grandma's suitcase.

My mom kept Owen one night so Micah and I could attend his office Christmas party. We took Adler with us so I could feed her (she doesn't seem to care for a bottle), but it still felt like an adult night out. Having only one kid is a breeze!

There was even another baby friend at the party for Adler to play with. This is Micah's co-worker Ben and his son Max, who is only 4 days older than Adler.

Negative 6 Degrees

That's right.....this morning we woke up to our thermometer reading negative 6 degrees outside. Burrrrrrrr. Even the insides of our windows had ice on them. In our house. I've never seen that before!

We tried to build a snow man, but the snow is so dry, you can't even make a snow ball.

"Faster, faster, Mama!" This was really good exercise for me!!

Uncle Brian

My brother surprised me with a visit last week! It was so great to hang out with him and Owen LOVED playing with his Uncle Brian. This was also the first time Brian met Adler.

The boys playing the Wii boxing.

Johnny Rockets

Don't you just love our cool paper hats?

We didn't do a lot while Brian was here....but we did go bowling!!!

And we went to Scheels so Brian could ride the ferris wheel.

Thanks for the visit, Brian! We already miss you!

Winter Wonderland

This is what we woke up to this morning. SNOW! And lots of it. So far we have about a foot on the ground and it is still snowing pretty hard. This will be our 7th winter in Nevada (hard to believe), and I still can't get used to the winter snow here.

Owen was a big helper this morning, helping Micah shovel the snow.

This is our garden.....I don't think anything is growing anymore.

This & That

It's that time of year again....lots of Birthday Parties for Owen to attend! He's gone to Ryder's, Sofia's and Brock's third birthday parties. Guess who's next??? Owen is counting down the days! He's so excited about his upcoming birthday!

Owen likes to read Adler books now. TOO CUTE!
and show her the pictures.

Adler is napping at one of the parties....

Happy Thanksgiving

We hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday! Of course we miss being with family on holidays, but we're lucky to have wonderful friends here in Nevada. We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner last night with our friends Karen and Lawrence and their family.

2 Months Old

Little Miss Adler is already 2 months old! Here's what she's up to now:

  • She's smiling and cooing
  • She's sleeping through the night (YAY!)
  • She's responding to our voices
  • She follows us around with her eyes
  • She's wearing 3 month clothes (which is great because she has a ton of adorable clothes in this size)

Adler had her 2 month check up today and is growing like a champ! She weighs 12 pounds, 9 ounces (90th percentile) and is 23 1/4 inches long (70th percentile).

Many thanks to Auntie Lacey for this cute outfit!
