When Micah was a kid he spent quite a bit of time fishing with his Pop. So he was really excited to go fishing again and to take Owen fishing for the first time!

At the Ranch
Our first stop in Texas was my family's ranch, near Brady. Owen was really excited about this stop because we told him he could ride in a tractor and feed the cows (the cows turned out to be a bit aggressive). I was really excited about this stop because it's probably my favorite place to be in Texas.....I have tons of memories here as a child and I hope Owen will make great memories here too!

Owen was grinning ear to ear the entire time he was in Grandma's BIG tractor! His Grandma also bought him a "tractor hat" to wear.

Owen loves his Grandma Willems because she has more energy than he does, and gives him tons of attention!

Texas Travels
I know it's been a while since I last posted on our blog, but we've been busy traveling through Texas! If you're familiar with Texas at all you'll know that traveling to Austin, Brady, Corpus Christi and College Station within 8 days is pretty impressive. But that's exactly what we did! We have so many pictures from our trip that it's going to take me a while to sort through them all, so here's just the beginning. We left early last Tuesday morning and this is Owen eating breakfast on the plane.

We had a very long lay-over in Oakland and this is how we spent at least one hour of it. Riding back and forth and back and forth on the moving walkway. Owen was thrilled! I think this was the only time he actually stood still.......he mostly ran in both directions, only stopping if someone got in his way.

Yes, this is how we hypnotize Owen to sit still in an airplane for 4 hours. It's amazing what cartoons can do!

Our Family Photos
If you need some amazing professional pictures taken, we've got the photographers for you! We are so pleased with the family pictures Johnstone Studios took of us a few weeks ago. We took these at Meeks Bay, on the west side of Lake Tahoe, on a day where we thought it was going to rain on us. But the rain held off and the clouds made some gorgeous beach photos. I feel like they really captured us as a family of three, and I'm sure I'll look back on these years from now and they will remind me of this exciting time for our family.

My Incredible Hulk
Look closely at Owen's blue jeans.....do you think he needs a new pair??

All of Owen's pants have holes in the knees and this particular pair were patched so he could wear them longer. Then he somehow created new holes in these jeans, just under the patches. But he kept wearing them. A few days ago we were at a shoe store and Owen decided to grab both of the holes and yank up as hard as he could. I about died laughing when I saw the result!!! The funny thing is, look at the shirt he had on that day.....INCREDIBLE HULK!
It's hard to believe but I'm now in my third trimester! Just a few more months and we'll have another cutie hanging all over us!

We took Owen to his second movie last weekend and saw UP in 3D. Owen actually wore his 3D glasses for the majority of the movie and seemed to really enjoy it. The movie itself is a lot fun, even for adults!

V&T Railroad
Yes, Owen is still obsessed with trains. All week while I was away in Nashville, Micah told Owen that we would ride the train when I returned home. So all week long Owen was repeating, "When mama come home, mama ride choo-choo? Dada go? Me go?" And of course, the little train here in Carson City was not running this weekend. But we made good on our promise and took Owen to Virginia City to ride their much bigger and more historic train. Owen was so excited the entire drive there! He even wore his "choo-choo" hat and took his train whistle on the train ride.

Not even 5 minutes into our train ride, it started raining. And it kept raining and then poured! This is very unusual weather for one of the driest places in the country. So, we have no pictures of the train itself. We were too busy trying to stay dry and warm. But Owen still had a great time! I'm sure we'll ride this train again later in the summer when it's warm.
