Wild Island

We met our friends Enid and Brock at Wild Island this past weekend for a fun swim day. Wild Island is the local water park in Reno (nothing compared to Schlitterbahn, but perfect for Owen). The boys LOVED it! They have a nice toddler pool with slides that Owen and I could go down together. He would giggle the whole way down and then sign "more, more."

We spent a little time at Tahoe last weekend where Micah got to show off his skills.....

Owen loves his red boots, and now every time he puts on his boots he MUST also wear his red cowboy hat.....no other hat will do. He's such a crack up!

Bears!

We went to a BBQ at the beach on Friday night and look what we saw.....a mama bear and her 2 cubs. They were rummaging through the dumpster searching for food and then they walked along the beach and even climbed on a picnic table to eat the human food. I was thrilled to see bears, but also hated to see them in the dumpster....kind of sad.

We spent this past weekend with good friends! We visited our friends Enid, Corey and Brock on Saturday morning. We hadn't seen Brock in months, so that was fun. Notice the turtle on the rock in the picture.....the boys watched it for some time.



Happy 3rd Birthday to Jack! We went to his party on Saturday and Owen had a blast playing with all of his toys!

Spoiled Rotten!

Owen was spoiled this past week by his grandparent's visit! I know he's really going to miss them.

Owen & Natalie

This past weekend we were able to visit with our friends Kim, Corey, and Natalie who were in Tahoe visiting from North Carolina. It's been close to a year since we went to Asheville to visit them, and the babies have really changed. Natalie and Owen had a blast playing together (they are only 2 months apart in age).

We have visitors......

Micah's parents are here visiting us this week. They arrived just when Owen was getting over his illness....he had roseola last week and was sick for about 5 days. He is feeling much better now and enjoying all the extra attention!

Last night we had dinner at a pub and sat on the patio listening to a local band play. Every Friday night (during the summer) there is a street dance/band playing in downtown Carson City. It's always a fun time.

We were invited to Jenelle and Danny's house Saturday night......thanks for the excellent dinner!! Their son Ethan is about 7 months older than Owen and the boys had a blast playing together.

Got Milk?

Owen loves to eat cereal for breakfast.....real adult cereal with milk and all. And his favorite part? Slurping up the milk once the cereal is almost gone! We don't know where he learned to do this, but it sure is cute!

Oh yeah......the mountains! This picture was taken from my office where normally the mountains can easily be seen. But for the past 2 weeks, we've been in a cloud of smoke from all the fires in California.
