Texas, Our Texas!
We've been in Texas for the past week and now have a lot of catching up to do! I'm going to do it in multiple posts because we have SO MANY pictures to share. This was the 7th time for Owen to fly in an airplane......he's quite the traveler for an 18 month old! When we flew to Texas a week ago, our flight left Reno at 6:00 in the morning. He was a sleepy boy until he woke up in the Las Vegas airport. Actually, we traveled so much through Texas this past week, almost every time he woke up, we were somewhere new.

The Ranch
We spent a few days at my family's ranch in central Texas, mainly to see my Grandmom and for my cousin Mikkie's wedding. It's so much fun to have Owen on the ranch now. He loved seeing all the animals and running around in the country.
Here's Owen driving with his Uncle Brian and riding in the back of the truck. Of course he ONLY gets to do this at the ranch, going very slowly!

Corpus Christi
We weren't planning on driving all the way to Corpus Christi, but as it turned out 2 of Micah's grandparents were in the hospital while we were in Texas. So we made the trip so Owen could cheer them up some. And while we were there we stayed with Micah's other grandmom, so it was nice to spend some time with her too. All the grandparents are recovering well and Micah's Pop is already back home.

College Station
About half way through our trip we finally made it to College Station (our hometown). Here's Owen having fun with his Aunt Madison.

Colby took me for a spin on his motorcycle.

I finally met Colby's daughter Jordynn, who is now 3 months old. She is precious, but Owen sure got jealous when I held her.

Lake Conroe
We spent an afternoon on Lake Conroe and had a blast! The first time we stopped the boat to swim, Owen just walked to the edge of the boat ready to jump in....no hesitation. He loved swimming around the lake with his life jacket on! Then he jumped from the boat over and over again. This boy loves the water!
Friends
We made time last week to visit with a few of our best friends in Texas. I was finally able to meet my friend Alyssa's new baby boy, Cade. Cade was born on April 23rd and Alyssa and I have already had many phone conversations about him. It was so great to meet him in person!

We visited Tracy and Matt in Harker Heights and got to see Tracy's baby bump. Even Owen wanted a bump.

Matt will be deployed to Iraq in the next month, so it was great to see him before he leaves.
Then we visited the Anderson family in Round Rock. Their youngest child, Kai, is almost 1 year old and this was the first time we'd met him. The Anderson household was probably Owen's favorite place we visited all week long......because they had TONS of toys! Here are Owen, Kai, and Kira.
