Happy Easter!

Easter was an excuse for us to dress Owen up and take a bunch of cute pictures.....as if we need an excuse to take pictures of him! :o)
We've had a great day though. Kelly's mom is here visiting and she cooked a wonderful Easter dinner! We also took a walk to the park and flew the kite.

Micah's Birthday Celebration

Today we celebrated Micah's upcoming birthday at Nevada Beach. And despite the VERY windy weather, we had a great turn-out. About 25 friends came to join us and the windy weather was perfect for kite flying! It was a little tough getting the grill started, but the guys created a wind block using picnic tables (very innovative) and Mark cooked some delicious fajitas! It was a fun day!

Happy Owen

Owen sure does like the dogs. Every time he sees them he smiles. And check out super dad.....cleaning and taking care of Owen at the same time! WOW!

Owen likes to rest on his Uncle Mark!

Toys

Owen is starting to enjoy all his toys now. And he tries to put everything into his mouth.

Olfa & Uncle Mark

We've had visitors! Olfa (Owen's Grandpa, Micah's dad) and Mark (Micah's brother) have been in town! Micah's dad stayed for about 5 days and had fun playing with Owen. Mark is going to stay with us for a while and it's nice to have him here! Owen is certainly having fun playing with his Uncle Mark! He doesn't know what to do with all this extra attention!

Picnic in the Park

We had a good weekend.....swimming and playing at the park. The weather has been gorgeous here lately, but tonight we have a chance of SNOW! Here are Owen and Micah having a lazy Saturday morning.
Here's Owen swimming with his friends Brock, Ryder, and Sofia.
Here is crazy Sandy chasing the kite. Every time the kite hit the ground she would attack it!

Supporting the Aggies

Owen supported the Aggies this week when they competed in the Sweet 16! Unfortunately, the clock ended when Memphis was one point ahead.....very disappointing!

Here is Owen playing with his favorite toy. And saying hello to Kirby.

Kelly's 29th Birthday

Yesterday I turned 29......and it was a good day! My mom sent me flowers to work and my co-workers prepared a really nice lunch at the office. They had all kinds of fancy foods, complete with candles and sparkling wine. They also pitched in and gave me a basket full of "pampering" gifts, which I will definitely enjoy. I also received gifts from several of my non-Nevada friends in the mail - it's always nice to get something in the mail other than bills! And last night Micah and Owen took me to dinner at BJ's in Reno, where Owen slept through most of the evening. I am very blessed to have such wonderful family and friends who made my birthday really special! Thanks Everyone!!!

Happy St. Patty's Day

On Saturday we visited our friends Enid, Cory and Brock in Reno. They had us over for a delicious lunch and we watched the Aggies make it into the Sweet 16! YAY!!! We were really hoping the Ags would be playing Nevada in the 3rd round this week, but UNR lost today against Memphis. Anyways, Owen and Brock had the same green outfits on for St. Patrick's Day (this was not planned) and aren't they adorable???? Owen really wanted Cory's beer and kept reaching for it. I think he was fascinated with the colored label, but Micah likes to think he just has a taste for beer!

3 Month Pictures

Here are Owen's formal 3 month pictures we had taken at Target. He wasn't in a very good mood, but we got a few really good ones. My favorite is the one with his tongue sticking out! He has just recently discovered his tongue.

Happy 3 Month Birthday Owen!

Yesterday Owen turned 3 months old and today I had to return to work....that is work I actually get paid to do. It was a pretty rough day leaving Owen behind but I am hopeful tomorrow will be easier. I'm only working part-time for now and it helps that we feel comfortable with the lady who is watching him. She works out of her home and keeps one other baby, Ryder, who is only 3 weeks older than Owen. And I am friends with Ryder's mom, so we know him fairly well. I also went to nurse Owen on my lunch hour so that helped break the day up. Here are a few photos of him sporting Texas shirts!
