Thanksgiving Traditions

What is your Thanksgiving tradition? At the beginning of the day yesterday I didn't think we really had any traditions for Thanksgiving. But as the day went on, I realized we did......AGGIE FOOTBALL!

For as long as I can remember I have watched the Aggies play the University of Texas on either Thanksgiving Day or the day after. It's a great rivalry and always exciting to watch. When I was a child we would watch the game with my uncle's family who live in Austin and support UT (there was always some friendly razzing going on). When I was in college I attended most games in person (the most exciting being our 1999 win after bonfire fell).

Now that we live in Nevada, nobody here either knows or cares about Aggie football. But that doesn't stop us from brainwashing our children into loving this school. Here we are decked out in our maroon and white yesterday, cheering on the Aggies to their 24-17 win over the Longhorns. WHOOP!!!!

Let's PARTY!

Time to PARTY!!! We went to a couple of birthday parties this weekend, for two of Owen's good friends.

Ryder's birthday party

After the party we joined Ryder's family for sushi.......that's right......we hit up the sushi place to celebrate Ryder's birthday. I'm sure everyone in that restaurant hated us! Good food though.

The next day was Sofia's party at Tumbleweeds Gymnastics.

Adler had fun bouncing on the trampoline.

This is where Owen's party will be in a few weeks and he is READY!!!

Welcome Winter

We had our first snow fall this past weekend. Winter is officially here. Micah and Owen went straight to work on a giant snow man.

Just Because.....

I love that my kids love to read!

Owen loves making forts in the living room. He even invites Adler to come in occasionally.

Check out Adler's first pony tail.

Adler's One Year Photos

My mom gave us an amazing baby gift when Adler as born, and that was a baby photography package from Johnstone Studios that included 4 photo shoots capturing Adler throughout her first year of life. About a month ago we had her fourth and final shoot and I am thrilled with the results (just as I have been all year long)!

We tried to get more sibling pictures, but Owen wasn't in the mood. This is the best we got....not bad of both my kiddos.

This is when she was still learning to walk.

Carson River Trail

About a week ago we took a walk around the Carson River Trail. Owen is now very excited about riding his bike and thought it was fun riding on the dirt. We were about a week late for the gorgeous fall colors, but did manage to catch the end of it .

Very serious.....

Taking a break so the dogs could swim.

I love this photo of Adler......she looks like a little person here (rather than a baby).
